1.              How does it feel to win the Uniform Advantage iPad2 contest?

I have never won anything before and this has just made an amazing start to a New Year for me.  I am extremely excited and delighted to have won the iPad2 contest.

2.              How did you go about getting all of your votes? What did you do that helped the most (Facebook, Emails, etc)?

As a current student at Walden University, an employee with Greenville Hospital System, and a Clinical Instructor with Greenville Technical College I was able to email all of my coworkers and students and ask for their support.  I additionally requested help on Facebook and used personal email addresses as well to request support.

3.       Why did you want to become an educator/clinical instructor?

I have a passion for teaching and find it fulfilling to be a part of aiding people in achieving their personal goals. I feel the greatest contribution that I might be able to make to society would be to contribute towards bringing increasingly innovative teaching methodologies into the classrooms and workplace. I find the interpersonal interaction with individuals to be overwhelmingly and intrinsically rewarding.

4.              What brand and style of uniform do you enjoy wearing most?

I wear a variety of scrubs but my favorites so far are Jockey and Butter Soft.

 5.     Is there any one thing you would have done differently in starting your career in this industry?

No.  I love my career as a nurse and working as a Mother/Baby postpartum nurse.  I also like the path that I am taking to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing as well as a PHd.  I had the opportunity to enjoy small breaks between many successes.

6.   What advice would you give to someone who wants to go into the medical field?

The medical field is a large arena to begin a career in and will be a life-changing journey.  As you go into your experience it may be overwhelming but relax and relish in the new learning experience that will be well worth the journey.  The medical field is a rewarding career and perseverance and perspective are key to a successful future.

CONGRATULATIONS again, Jennifer and thank you to ALL of our participants!
